I really like watching the "Urban Gentry" watch channel on YouTube, hosted by TGV. I've binge-watched many of the videos he's released over the last few years and they're always interesting and informative. I particularly like how not every video relates to high-end, (often unattainable), watches, with a good selection of videos aimed at the more affordable watch market.

Another favourite of mine is, "Federico Talks Watches". Both his and TGV's enthusiasm is infectious and impressive. With a background I believe in watch retail, Federico covers topics in depth and gives insights from many angles of the watch business.

What do forum members think of these watch channels and can you recommend any others for watch enthusiasts ?

p.s "binge-watched" - perhaps a phrase that might have another meaning for some of us watch gatherers !

 

I too like Urban Gentry. Josh from 'Watch It All About' is good too, especially when he does the macro photography.

There's a lot to love about OF, but the performance of the search function is sometimes pretty underwhelming. In this case, I'd suggest going to Google and trying a search term like:

"YouTube site: omegaforums.net" (without the quotes)

I like the Watchfinder videos for pure watch porn. Yes, there's an underlying sales pitch in most (all?) videos they release but it's subtle and the photography and narration more than compensate for it.

I watched a few Bark and Jack but he's too much of a Rolex groupie for my tastes. Jenni Elle is a nice change of pace but a few myth perpetuation comments such as 50WR not being fit for swimming grated and turned me off a bit.

 

The omega enthusiast channel, almost exclusively omega. But he brings others now and again like a 1930s Heuer today, beautiful watch.

 

My beloved Omega DeVille tank is with them since beginning of April for servicing. Called them yesterday and still have to wait 3 weeks. They are good watchmakers though... But 5 months is killing me lol

 

I like Paul Thorpe for Rolex stuff. The Pontiff/ACIII/Paul Pluta/Archie Luxury for entertainment, although recent self censorship makes him less entertaining to my inner 11yr old.
