A similar thread was posted regarding TV shows to watch during winter which has subsequently morphed into what to watch while hiding from covid-19.

Rather than hijack that thread I figured I would start a discussion regarding YouTube channels to enjoy while enduring same.

Here's the challenge: non watch related channels.

I love:

SmarterEveryDay
Steve1989MREInfo
Veritasium
Norman's Rare Guitars
Colinfurze
The Slow Mo Guys
Cowboy Kent Rollins
Clickspring (sometimes related to watchmaking but truly just a fantastic Craftsman)

What are some of yours??

If you are golf fan I would recommend Rick Shiels, loads of informative videos and also full rounds of golf against semi-pro players. Also just started watching Curiosity Incorporated who owns an antique shop in Canada and buys a lot of job lots & estate sales and makes some really interesting finds, there's quite a lot of watches that pop up as well.

For golf videos, Golf Sidekick just makes very enjoyable/fun videos as far as I'm concerned!
Otherwise Harry's Garage makes interesting vids on vintage cars, if someone is interested

Might have to take a look at that channel, I haven't delved deeply into the YouTube golfing community just watched a couple of channels, but now I'm in lockdown I find myself looking up full PGA tour matchplay events and watching those back.

It really depends on one's interest area. Here's my pick from my subscribed to list:
The 8-Bit Guy (if you're into vintage computers&tech)
Hoovies Garage (I like the older videos, car related entertainment)
Jay Leno's Garage (one of, if not the best automotive channels on youtube, a fascinating collection of automobiles)
Car Wizard (Nice tips if you're into automotive repair, well narrated and a nice overall presence. The wizard has a soothing voice, just like Jay Leno's)
Mr Carlson's Lab (If you're into old radios&test equipment this a great channel)
Simple History (I love bite sized content regarding history, they have longer videos that are great too)
David Hoffman (Filmmaker, there are some fascinating stories there)

I randomly found these channels some time ago and find them really interesting to watch despite not having any special interest(although I am a long time fish/reptile keeper so they fit that interest) in their subjectmatter.

For anybody interested in boxing I'm sure you already sub to this one...

I could listen to Teddy Atlas all day.

Some of the comments are hilarious. I wish he would write post mortems to let people know if he any, um....."issues" a few hours later.

Shockingly fascinating.
