I'm currently addicted to MS flight simulator. Just love how mindful doing a leg of a bush trip is. You have to be in the moment as you have to pay attention to a few things but it's not frenetic at all. I'm finding it a great way to switch off from the stress of work.

Baldur's Gate 3 finally sucked me back into gaming a bit. But I'm stuck on Mac waiting for them to release the full version.

ive got about 15 hours on BG3 on my PS5, and it’s giving me all the right vibes. My entire team at work is playing, we’ve got a character building session planned for tomorrow to get our co-op party together.

Awesome! I've just been playing it solo, but may try co-op later this fall when my schedule's less busy.

This thread made me play FF XIII-2 on my PS3. I've thoroughly enjoyed the whole franchise.

So much so, that I may look into upgrading to a PS4. 😀

Those are well and truly sold out, hours after they went live last year. You can get them on ebay -- for like double the cost and no game.
Not really. Some of them came online at launch. I got one because of the watch. I always wanted a nerdy digital watch in my collection, now I got one. Also saw some on eBay for the regular price, at least in the EU.

I’m back playing a but of Escape From Tarkov and watching streamers play it since the game is torture but my kind of torture. Finally got it to run decently on my system after a lot of trial and error.
Oh tarky can be a sweet torture for sure! 😗 It's been a few wipes I didn't touch it, mainly because of work overload, but it's always tempting to get back to the head-eyes drama

Lately, I have been keeping it simple. With my full time class load and accompanying homework/projects, I don't have much time for anything else. Besides, this basic level of gameplay has been fun and refreshing. It's easy and fun to load it up, play a few minutes, and save/turn off in the spare time I find, whether it's between classes or when I need a break from coursework.

I have had this GameBoy Pocket since it was new and knock on wood, it hasn't failed me yet. Well, the battery door broke years ago but a small strip of scotch tape does the trick. I have also had the Pokemon Blue (as well as Red, Yellow, and Crystal) since they were new. They are all as simple as they get but all the mindless fun I need in the short stints of time I can find. Recently I went to a really neat game store in San Jose California with a huge collection of vintage games/systems, computers, as well as modern games/systems and was surprised to see how high the prices were from some of these GameBoy cartridges 😲. It had been sooo long since I had even thought to look at the market. Anyways...

I still have my old Gameboy Color although I don’t have the Pokémon game anymore. Let someone borrow it or just gave it away a long time ago. I don’t remember which. Just have a few random games I don’t care to play now. I do have Zelda: Links Awakening for it but I also have the modern remake on Switch so no reason the break out the Gameboy. The Switch does fill this same role pretty well though. Even though there are time intensive games there are also lots of low commitment games. I recently did yet another run through of Zelda: A Link to the Past. One of the best games ever.

I grew up playing links Awakening and a link to the past, I liked link to the past so much I put it on emulator and played it probably a decade ago? I had a copy somewhere but I no longer have a working Super Nintendo.

I can't remember if I posted on this thread yet but I'm a from software guy and have been since Dark Souls. I recently played armored core 6 and before that spent too much time playing Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, which I find an absolute blast to play through the gauntlets on. It's a great game, but one a lot of people find difficult.

I saw @Dsloan mention Baldur's Gate 3? If that is released on Xbox series X I will probably get it and play a Cooperative campaign when the kids are sleeping.

These days I feel like I have a limited amount of time to play video games and will often think to myself "eh, I could play something..." and then I don't end up doing so. Crazy what kids do to you!

I still have my original copy of A Link to the Past with “box and papers” including a map of Hyrule and my working Super Nintendo. Now it’s all been ported to the Switch. Best feature is instant rewind so if you screw up you can just go back a few seconds and try that bit again. 😁

That's pretty wild. I might have to check it out/pick up a switch for my older son here on a few years. Currently he really wants to play Elden Ring. we play Heroes of Might and Magic 2 together sometimes!

I am still roaming around Baldur's Gate 3 for now, but will likely detour to Spider-Man 2 when it releases this weekend. From the sound of it the team at Insomniac smashed it on that one!

ah! almost forgot: considering it's Halloween soon, a playthrough of The Quarry is likely in my near-term future too 😎

Anyone playing the new Forza Motorsport? I'm enjoying the new enforced Practice and the time penalties for going off track (although these sometimes feel as random as in real Grand Prix). Also being able to pick grid position from pos 3 backwards is nice. Having to level up a car to apply updates is a bit strange though, not sure I agree with that but it's early days.

Yeah, I'm sloooowly making my way through BG3. It's great, but takes a long time when you're squeezing quests in between household chores and building Lego sets with your kid. Also, there have been a couple times when my kid pops in the room and there's a horrifying image on screen. He may now be afraid of someone coming to steal his brain out of his skull...

I've been playing it a bit.
I knew some tracks were being omitted, but what I didn't realize that pretty much ALL of my favorites are a no-show.
They have said they are bring back Nordschleife I think sporing of next year. So that's good. But I want Sebring, Road Atlanta, COTA, Long Beach...
I agree, it also seems annoying to have to level up a car in order to modify it. One of my favorite things to do in the previous games was to just "build" cars.
Perhaps some of these things will be addressed, it seems like pretty much everyone is having the same issues so hopefully T10 will address.
Other than that I'm enjoying the game. I do find the penalty system a little....random - as you said.
But the physics feel good and it is nice to have a newer selection of cars. I've been playing the last Forza for 6 years now (like everyone else) so it's nice to have a little more variety.

Beat Far Cry 6 recently, so now I'm running through AC: Mirage, I bought myself the collector's edition and I also have Jedi: survivor to get through. Starfield is in rotation but I just had to try out the new Robocop: Rogue City. Not amazing but full of nostalgia for sure. DEAD OR ALIVE YOU ARE COMING WITH ME. Sniper Warrior Ghost Contracts 2 was on sale so I had to pick that up, then realized I didn't finish the first one. Vicious cycle of unplayed steam libraries. lol
