I just watched some of the stuff from the Xbox event.
Starfield continues to look cool and I'm looking forward to the Forza update...

Mines pretty old now too, 7700k and 1080ti all watercooled, built it for overwatch when it was still new, but its doing ok still all these years later
My original build was in 2009 🤔. Motherboard is the silly socket 1366 with an Intel Core i7-950 Quad-Core 3.06 GHz. I upgraded to a GTX 670 sometime later. She's a dinosaur. I haven't even really turned it on in years. I have a full tower case and went overkill with a massive modular power supply so I can probably keep those. Maybe one day I'll rebuild it but have no reason to now. At this point I'd probably rebuild as a Linux dev machine when my Mac craps out, not for a gaming machine.

I really need some new Forza in my life. I enjoy Horizon but it gets a bit repetitive after many hours invested. Watching a bit of Le Mans and some of the F1 this season has made me itchy for some circuit action. I just hope they haven't screwed up the new Motorsport game by making it more arcadey. Stupid things like not letting you set the revs before the race were backwards steps, I hope they fix that in the next one.

Agreed. I still fire up 7 every now and then but have been playing Horizon a bit more frequently.
It is really the only reason my Xbox is used hah. I have a couple games I'm trying to play, but just can't seem to find the motivation.

I'm the same, haven't played it in weeks. Loved the new rally update to horizon but now struggling to be bothered to play. Waiting for the new forza, GTA or red dead to suck me back in.

I love how we seem to be of the age where we need to be motivated to play video games lol. I have the same problem. I was excited about the new Zelda but haven't been playing. I've bought a couple games in the past 2 years that I haven't even touched. Or played for an hour and never went back. Back in the day I was fired up to play Battlefield or SWTOR with a clan every single night.

I still didn't even download the rally content hah. I will though.
I instead bought the newest Sonic game in an attempt to stir up some nostalgia...I played it for about 10 min lol.
I'm hopeful for Starfield. But I can also just see myself loosing interest because the game just seems so massive.
I just don;t have the time to invest like I did when I was younger.
That's my beef with the newest Halo. All this open world exploring crap just does not work for me.

I think that's just getting older hah. It is for me at least.
For reference, I'm 35. Have a job that keeps me busy, as well as a wife and 2 kids...that also keep me busy.
So even when I do have the free time, I'd almost just rather sit and do nothing lol.

It feels like another job. I was playing Witcher 3 for awhile. Go here. Do this. Get this. Grinding quests just feels like work now. I'd rather kill time on OF.

I've been playing games since the C-64 ... running BBSes on a 1200bps modem and a few disc drives with a ram expander unit ... those were the days. I built all my PCs from the mid-80s and beyond starting with 8086s and 386DLC2s with extra math co chips. My most recent build is the Ryzen 7 7700x and rtx3080Ti gaming hybrid. I can't even remember how many cases and motherboards I've been through over the years. lol

Recently playing Jedi Survivor and waiting for AC:Mirage and the new Star Wars Outlaws. Starfield looks like it's going to be too big considering I'm still trying to 100% The Witcher 3 too after 400 hours😀

Played the first 20 min or so of Starfield this morning.
But had to stop and be an adult. Pretty much just made it through the character creation part and then stopped lol.

I’m back playing a but of Escape From Tarkov and watching streamers play it since the game is torture but my kind of torture. Finally got it to run decently on my system after a lot of trial and error.

Did you consider buying the collector's edition that includes the watch? I'm thinking very hard about it.

Those are well and truly sold out, hours after they went live last year. You can get them on ebay -- for like double the cost and no game.

Yeah no I did not pay extra for anything.
I have Xbox Game Pass, so the game was "free".

I have a Switch that I barely play. But I started playing the original Resident Evil port over the weekend, it's just as scary as I remember!

Alot of unique strategy points as well; limited resources and carrying slots, saving via typewriter, intentionally awkward controls leading to a more "real" sense of enemy interaction. Human nature/betrayal a big plot line.

Alot of these elements resonate with the essence of what makes the original Night of the Living Dead, IMO, the best zombie movie of all-time. Less is sometimes more.

I have so much more fun playing old games that I've played sooooo many times through the years.
All of these new games just don't really do it for me. Maybe nostalgia is at play, but I suppose that doesn't really matter much.
I have high hopes for Starfield (been looking forward to it for a wile now) but I'm still keeping realistic expectations based on some of the other games I've played over the last few years that were a bit of a disappointment.

I've been waiting for this release for months (maybe years since the idea was conceived) For some reason I didn't feel the need to download it on drop day. I can't wait to hear what everybody thinks. If there were 2 feet of snow on the ground and I was stuck inside, I would have jumped on Starfield real quick

Oh sweet -- I didn't realize that was coming. I was waiting for Lies of P. Now I guess I have no choice but to try it out. Damn it.

Baldur's Gate 3 finally sucked me back into gaming a bit. But I'm stuck on Mac waiting for them to release the full version.
