Dibs!!!
Damn!

2nd Dibs?

I came pretty close to pulling the trigger on this one, too... it was in our FS Forum for more than a few days, I think...

Do you two not check the FS Threads and you missed this one?!?

I realize that a watch like this appeals to very few if any forum members but I like it 馃榾

More specifically, I really liked the price (practically free!) and it recently had her first and probably only service (is 14 months ago recent? lol).

Oh, and I didn't have to pay a red cent for delivery (it came along for the ride with another super /hot watch. Thanks for looking 馃榾

This time my newest buy (non-Omega, but I don't feel guilty) is the Oris Carl Brashear LE .
Case, bezel and buckle made of bronze. Case back is made of steel

Pics say more than any words.

Every once in a while I seem to be in the right place at the right time. Last night, just as I was getting ready to go to bed, I got an email from
Seiya Japan that there was a Presage SARX027, with enamel dial, available. Since the watch is sold out, I have only been able to find it through eBay sellers or on other forums for a couple hundred more than list. I bought the SARX019, with roman numerals, but for some reason, it wasn't as appealing as the 27 so I gave it to my, now, son-in-law as a wedding gift (yes, it was still in the box). Anyway, I jumped on it and am pretty happy.
Add this to the luck of finding a Citizen "Speedy" 67-9313, in decent shape, on Thursday and this has turned out to be a pretty good week.

A shame about that date window -- otherwise it would have been pretty flawless. (Reminds me of travesties by Longines). What is the case size?

39mm. I wish the date window wasn't there but it doesn't bother me on this model as much as it did on the 19.

IWC has always been on my "respected" list in terms of vintage quality.
I simply could not resist this one. Despite the sellers attempts at making it look bad.......
Cal 83. Early 1940s?
Not many around with an original black dial.
Sellers pics (heavily edited in order to make something out of it). Catalog pic from the IWC forum (1941).

Had to pick this up when I saw it. God only know why the seller had the hands relumed when they serviced it but that can be fixed.

Staying away from big ticket items and exploring minuscule (and cheap) women's watches....
This arrived today, a true piece of art deco design with mixed gold and steel -- but it will need repair.

Then I won this today for 36 euros -- initially for a donor movement but I won't have the stomach to take it apart.

Very impressive pieces S.! 馃グ You are amassing quite a collection of miniature Longines. I look forward to a dedicated thread on these sub 29mm gems.

That case has even more personality than the moon, what an incredibly unusual and well kept example

Thanks S, I'll do my best 馃榾
Not sure there's much to say on those two, they are classic ladies watches although really nice art deco models; but I certainly will post them with the ST when I get more info about it.
