you feel this example is a redial ?
No not at all, I was pointing out that the uneven length on the E's is also found on this one. That dial is original and very attractive.

So the uneven “E” on the logo is probably acceptable since there are several examples showing such trait.

Thanks for sharing.

I may have missed something in the thread but on the original photo isn't the white of the digits and dial lines different(aged) in comparison to the logo? Is this normal? Was the logo printed seperately? Please excuse my ignorance. I just found it to be a really interesting thread and such a beautiful watch.

looks to me like the UG text and logo are printed in white and the rest of the dial in gold

Just adding two Compaxes with the shield logo (of different size).
22408 on the left is from approx. 1939-40.
224102 on the right approx. 1944.
And an image from spare parts catalogue (reproduced in Sala) showing the exact dial set up of the 22408 reference.

Wow, what a beauty. Thank you for sharing it. Would fit quite nicely in the art deco thread too. These pictures on the dealer’s website, really say how many beautiful, unusual watches have made it into the hands of private owners over the years.

That dealer is indeed one of the best. Unparallelled quality.
