It is bizar: the thread is about the ST and its alternatives, but half of the content is about "facts" both sides cannot prove. Why is not one of the 2 parties stopping it?

Back to the threads name: ALTERNATIVES:

I am afraid - there is none! 馃槦

BUT: There will be next LEs. Rather sooner than later. And 2019 will come as well... ::psy::::rimshot::馃槈

Any facts that 2018 will be skipped?

Alternative facts don't need proof. We know that since a couple of months... 馃え馃槈

No doubt more LEs will be coming out soon because that is what OMEGA does best. I suspect one of them will be called 'Uranus Speedy Wednesday' 馃憤

Pretty sure those on the waiting list are secondary fan base
Tell me your point. I don't remember who you are or what you posted.

Love it when a newbie that knows everything doesn't know the Mod / owner that started the forum....

C'mon now. We're past that, and into the hug phase.

But it really shouldn't matter, should it...

Agreed 100%...FTR I thought the role of the Mods on any technical forum should be to dampen things down when members get "over excited". I sent a PM requesting help to calm down this thread. Did not generate any response / interest馃檮

Calmness is so overrated and I was enjoying the discussion, although there was no way I was going to chime in for fear of getting caught in the crossfire (truth be told I know nothing about Snoopy, the Silver Snoopy Speedy nor marketing). That said, what I have seen here that differs to other forums is that the mods can be just as robust as the "over excited" punters.

I feel like this is a challenge to my ST fanaticism! The unspeakable self deprecating things I would do in order to move from the wait list to reserve list.

Perhaps that means the wait list is for the ST fan base with insecurity and morality issues?

If it were any more calm it would be a panda bear with a bong my friend, the threads we calm down are when people are abusing eachother, getting into political fights where they're at eachother's throats etc. If we had to "calm people down" due to them having a minor disagreement about something as irrelevant as the ownership demographics of a watch, 90% of the users on the site would need to be on valium rather than the mere 30% that currently are 馃榾

I did receive the PM and discuss this thread with Ash, just didn't have a chance to reply yet. 馃榾

It's never really been our style to intervene with discussions like this. If people want to argue about Snoopy, we're not going to stop them. We generally expect members to keep themselves in check, instead of taking a heavy handed approach and treating everyone like children, locking threads, etc.

Most of the time everyone stays fairly civilized here. We hope that members will treat every post as if they were having a chat face-to-face.
