Got my sprialwinder v2. The thinness is amazing on my FOIS (I didn't install the included gasket at the moment)

I didn't install the included gasket at the moment […] Curious if there are any issues with the Spiral winder casebook and the movement moving around?

That’s the point of the gasket. It acts as the spacer when in contact with the movement.

yeah I figured it out. Put it around the movement and put the caseback on top instead of keeping it on the caseback and flipping it

meant to delete that when I edited the post previously

You have to use both gaskets, one in the watch, and the one provided in the case back.

Has anyone else has issues with Spiralwinder not sending orders and not answering emails? I ordered an exhibition caseback for my Speedy a month ago. Three weeks ago I got an email saying it was shipping. It has never arrived, and the tracking number simply says "Label created, awaiting package." I've emailed Spiral Winder three times, and have received no response. I'm about ready to contact the CC company and stop payment... Very frustrating.

Yes, there have been similar reports.
Not best communicators.

Same thing happened to me. I ordered on Christmas Day and got an email almost immediately saying it was ready to ship label created. Then I got nothing until after New Year saying it was shipped.

It seems if you request the case back tools it takes longer to ship as they have to 3D print the tools.

I share your frustration, had a similar experience. I ordered mine Jan 8 and I just finally received it today Feb 14. I had a couple of emails from Warren asking for patience as they have a problem producing the installation tools which I requested. After another follow up email after a week on Jan 28 a USPS shipping label was made but it showed that the item was not yet received by USPS. I emailed them after a week asking if they actually dropped of the item or if it was misplaced. I also said I will take the item without the installation tool. Did not get a response however on Feb 7 tracking showed that the item was finally accepted by USPS.

I was about ready to cancel the order if I did not get a response or movement in another week (I had until March to try to get a refund from Paypal). Like I said I just got it today (with the installation tools!) and am very happy of the quality of both the caseback and the tools. It was very easy to install and turned out great. Just had to go through some frustration that could have been avoided with better communication. I was in no hurry to get it so I could have waited even a couple of months if needed, if I was just told what was happening.

I ordered a case back around a week ago. Had an email shortly after confirming and it had shipped, along with UPS tracking (delivering to the UK).
After a week of waiting it looks to be still sat with UPS (not an issue with Spiralwinder).
No idea when it’ll arrive, fingers crossed it’s sooner rather than later!

I though I'd share this. I just received it and installed it on my almost 7 year old FOIS today. Definitely worth the wait! Note the 1mm reduction in thickness.

I am in the UK too; I will be interested to see when yours arrives as I am tempted to get one of these too.

I’ll let you know if mine shows up as I’m also uk. Custom charges could be interesting.

I’ll post on here once it arrives. According to the tracking - “The item is currently in transit to the destination.”
Hopefully not too long to wait!

Placed my order on 2/13 and received it yesterday (2/18), with the 3D printed tool. I’m very pleased with the turnaround and the result!

I went back to my OEM caseback - watch started running slower. Not sure if movement was pushed a different way (not enough or too much?) with the new Spiralwinder or what (resulting in some end shake on a gear/wheel??). Watch even stopped 2x (found stopped in the morning) and then started when I pulled the stem and pushed it back in. Near full-wind.

My FOIS is generally due for a service anyways so it could be one of several possibilities. Runs better with OEM caseback again and hasn't stopped when using OEM caseback. Doesn't wear as well with the OEM caseback though 🤔

That’s fast! Are you based in the US?
I ordered mine on 6th Feb, still waiting for it to arrive in the UK. Hopefully any day now!
