Advice on Purchase of First Polerouter

I’m close to purchasing my first Polerouter. Kicking myself for being too late on this one from @Mazoue and another from @OllieOnTheRocks .

This one is going for $1999 EUR, and looking for thoughts (authenticity, price, opinions,…) from the experienced folks here.

And if you have a better or like condition for sale let me know too… criteria: clean dial, crosshairs, date window preferred (normally I don’t like date windows 👎), overall this style and automatic rotor preferred over bumper.

This watch is to celebrate a life event.

Seller shared, 1963, serviced in 2020, aftermarket crystal but everything else is original and polished in the past. Minor scratches on dial and blemish at 12.

I think it's a nice example, dial looks good and the lume dots have a nice warm color. Not sure what to make of the difference in lume color between hands and dial. (my own Polerouter has this difference too but I've been told it's original)
1999 EUR sounds like market price, it's not outrageous IMO but not a steal either. Maybe there's negotiation room.
I remember there were a few of this style Polerouters on the UG polerouter website a few weeks ago but now I see they're all sold. Except this one without date window but with original plexi, strap and buckle

I think that you will be able to find a better example, and for less money, if you are patient.

Beware of excellent redials and parts can be difficult to source.
