Hello guys again, I have started the year off already having bought 3 new watches, and it hasn't even been 2 weeks!

For that reason I've chosen 6 watches from my collection I will sell. As you will know, I always buy the most beautiful examples for myself so these 6 will be no different. Keep your eyes on my future posts over the next week.

First up, is this absolutely stunning Universal Geneve Polerouter 20217-5. The only one left in my collection, and it hung around so long because of its incredible condition.

It's hard to let go of because it truly is an iconic piece of design history, by the great Gerald Genta, but in all honesty it doesn't get much wrist time, as my personal tastes favour the older more classic designs of the 40s. Everyone I've discussed the watches I am selling told me to keep this one! haha but it's time to let go.

Dial: As you can see the dial is Immaculate and blemish free, and wow how it plays with the light on a sunny day. It is surely mesmerising and better than any other Polerouter I have ever set eyes on in the flesh. This dial could possibly be a transitional dial that was used by UG as they made the move from 20217 to S20217 and the concurrent move from Polarouter to Polerouter, or a later service replacement from the subsequent model S20217-5.

Case: I believe it to be unpolished, it's crisp and sharp, although there are some scratches etc near the bottom on the sides, as shown in the pictures, possibly created by a bracelet in the past? Thankfully this is not evident from the front and do not detract too greatly from the overall beauty of the piece. As this is one of the early bumper cases, this is larger of the Polerouter, measuring 36mm without crown. A very wearable size indeed.

Movement: The 138SS bumper movement is working remarkably well. However, I have not had it serviced during my ownership. I have had no reasons to be concerned with its operation and overall am very pleased with its accuracy. Everyone has different priorities however, so I offer no guarantees on accuracy, and recommend that it is serviced at your discretion.

Strap: The pictured strap will not be provided with the sale, I will fit another strap from my collection, I will discuss choices available with the buyer.

    Box/Papers: No box or papers.

Price: £1500 ONO net to me

Please observe all photos and the description with care as I offer no returns.

Feedback: Six sales so far on here and six satisfied buyers:

Ollie - I suggest you include a caseback photo, and disclose that this is a Polarouter case with a later Polerouter dial.
