A quick update on my Connie! I've just got it back from @ChrisN (CJN Watches) who has done his magic. I am really pleased with the result and the service provided by Chris. The detail in his 73 page service report is impressive. He gave plenty of advice on bracelets and straps and I ended up with a leather strap in the end, which I like, bit I'll be keeping my eyes out for a stainless steel BOR as well, since leather straps never seem to last long on my wrist. I'll definitely be using Chris again and will be recommending him to friends. The poor watch needed a few extra things doing to it so it cost a little bit more than I expected, but not excessively so. Glad I didn't send it to Omega for the service!

Here are a few pictures from after the service:

What sort of price would you expect to pay (assuming there is nothing majorly wrong with the movement)?

The watch says 167.005 inside.

The back came off quite easily so I was able to have a look inside. To my untrained eye the internals looked pristine. I was going to take some photos of the inside with my proper camera but I have just dropped the watch off at a jewellers in Winchester called Offord & Sons who said they would get me a no obligation quotation from their watch repairer. Does anyone have experience of this place?
They did suggest a repair and sympathetic tidy up could be around £400.
Oooops. I guess I should have read on.

Never mind...

You now own a very desirable watch. Hirsche makes a very luxurious strap. Looks great.
