Hello forum experts......... I hope that I'm posting this in the correct section of the forum.

I've just purchased a Vintage Constellation from EBay, yes, it was an impulse purchase, but it was also, love at first sight.

I'd be grateful for any observations, comments, remarks etc on whether the watch is entirely genuine or if anything looks amiss.

(I've been advised that the crown and the crystal have been replaced as the originals were in very poor condition)

I can also tell that the stars around the observatory have nearly all disappeared.

Opinions on the movement, dial, hands etc would be greatly appreciated.

Here are the pictures from the seller that I've pinched off EBay:

I'd say (partly) reprinted....

The watch has been well-loved, so the case is a little soft but if you like the watch that is what is important.
Unfortunately, the dial has been redone and the movement is incorrect for a Constellation.

Thank you for your comments.

What is the right movement for this particular reference?

And a broken seconds hand and non-chronometer 562......OP return if you have the possibility!

For a 14902 it would be a 561.
The 562 is not chronometer rated (there are thought to be some that are but not this particular one)

The watch is yet to be dispatched, so I might reconsider.

Thank you.

The watch is yet to be dispatched, so I might reconsider.

if you have recourse to do so (I.e. it was described as all original) then my advice would also be send it back.

I'll just inform the seller of the issues raised thus far and see what he has to say about it.

The watch has been paid for, but will be dispatched tomorrow.

Just to add, in addition to the above the endlink's are incorrect for this reference (although in light of the above remarks, a minor issue)
