Hi everyone
I took a gamble with this one and bought it on a local auction, as I was pretty confident that it's original. It arrived today and now I have some doubts I would like to clear out. Given the flat-foot logo it appears to be one of the transitional examples also shown by the OP. But his all have a larger pin. There are also abrasion marks hinting at a previously larger pin (or maybe the pin had enough wiggle room to cause a wider area of abrasion). Could it be that just the pin has been replaced or is everything fine or nothing genuine at all? Thanks for your help!

@iamvr Are you referring to the spring bar as the pin or the tongue of the buckle?

The pin is largely a consumable product like a spring bar and could have been changed multiple times in its lifetime.

Here is mine of a somewhat similar age.

Thanks for your response, @jaegodylan. Apologies, I was referring to the tongue. I didn't know the proper word for it. Mine does indeed look like yours in terms of shape.

What do you think about this buckle?
On the reverse side there are two holes in the stamp...

I think it is genuine, although the Ω may have been resoldered.

You’ll want to find out the width of the buckle. If less than 14mm, you will have a hard time finding a band that fit it and the lugs of a men’s watch.

Hello everyone, new member here. I just began the quest to find a solid gold buckle for my constellation. Because of the rarity of these vintage buckles, I'm having a hard time figuring out prices for them. And what are the best sites to find them on? I've been searching eBay and Chrono24 but the majority of them are fakes, or genuine but too small of a size.
What are reasonable prices for:
- Stainless steel buckles ($60-100)?
- Gold plated buckles ($60-100)?
- Solid gold buckles ($200-400)?

I think there are any update about buckles' pricing... upward!
What do you think?

Yes, it's original. No, it's not from the 60s.

With respect, I would not be so sure.

I would have my doubts, and I checked with @omegastar a while ago regarding the very same buckle since the edges of the buckle are not super sharp, as one would see in other buckles with the same big logo from the 50s.

That said, the buckle looks good IMHO. Very similar, if not identical quality to the modern Omega replicas of that era.

Can anyone shed any light on this 14mm one? I didn’t see it when I scrolled through the thread — apologies if I missed it.

I haven’t tried yet, but I’m assuming the bar screws out. I’ve never seen a buckle like this before (without a spring bar).

Thanks for any enlightenment!

They're not on the site. You email customer service to ask if what you want is available, the part numbers, and where to call. They reply with that information, you call, recite part numbers, credit card information, etc, and then they mail the stuff to you.

I’d appreciate an evaluation of my 14/16mm buckles, the “STAINLESS STEEL” ones are from Japan - I believe(hope) they are genuine JDM versions - I also seem to have one “GOLD PLATED” 30

I also have a Milanese Bracelet, these are common in Japan, it's steel/gold mixed, has the Omega logo, but only "STAINLESS STEEL" on the clasp - but I'm not including that to not pollute the thread - mainly the question is, are "STAINLESS STEEL 30" stamps legit - in different sizes
