You were doing alright until the perlon.
Grand master Bradurani, I do hope one day I might reach your level of style.

I figured the Perlon might make my score suffer, but I like to live dangerously and nothing says rebel like perlon.

People often say to match your strap to your shoes, but when I wear my perlon, I prefer to wear sandals and socks.

This combination works for me but happy for the strap master guru to comment

Grade: B-
Doesn't look bad, but Speedmasters go on black straps. At least you didn't get one with some showboatin' orange stripe on it, or one with 6 feet of extra nylon that wraps around your wrist 8 times.

SANDALS AND SOCKS?!?!? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!?

This thread is just great.

I'm glad I don't wear straps on my watches.

It’s not the original bracelet on it and it’s usually a pain in the ass to try to find an original one I was considering a fostner or something but I think it would like nice on leather.

A Forstner is a good choice.

I pride myself on thinking I make quite good strap choices… what do you think of these?
Very nice, and the watches are nice too of course. I like the slightly distressed calf on the first Omega (chronograph), is that one from Matteo?

No it isn’t actually. The only two from Matteo are those on my chronometre and Heuer. The first strap came with one of my first jumbo Omegas I bought several years ago I think it is of Italian origin but I will report back if I see any markings underneath it. At the time I tossed it aside and found a pigskin strap for the omega it came with and so this one fell into the depths of my “strap bin”.

It was only in the last couple of months that I was messing around trying straps on this watch that I happened upon it once more and I felt it suited it really well. It is an odd one though, sort of a textured suede or nubuck? I’m no strap connoisseur like the OP by any means but I liked it. All it’s missing is a rounded end and it would be perfect. Can’t beat a round end lol.

Stefano calls it “Tunda punta” - by the way - thank you for that tip all those years ago. I am just waiting on some more from him at the moment…

Does my dive watch on a Velcro strap get a passing grade? The original bracelet for this is made of tin foil so I thought I’d try something a bit different. I hold my hands up for being guilty of having a black strap with red stitching for my Speedy, but after reading this thread I’m going to get a black sharpie to the stitching 😉

Well those Russian watches are basically children's watches, so I guess that works.

We'll you've gone off script, but it does look pretty nice. I don't usually like to reward creativity, but it works.

Sorry Sir, we do not allow counterfeit watches on OF. Mods, go ahead delete his post.

@bradurani The Steeldive brand does not produce counterfit watches. They're homage watches. If the post goes against the forum's guidelines happy for it to be deleted.

I believe it was meant as a tongue in cheek comment.

Eterna Automatic on gray crocodile. Is it a faux pas to only have a 12k buckle when the watch is 18k?
