George needs to keep his mouth shut. He turned into me lol. I don’t like seeing Flavio at 6am.

You’re not alone, most people seeing flavio at 6am just woke up next to him and no amount of soap will remove that shame.

Ferrari getting a quitter.
And the best paid one, too. Next year will be very entertaining in the Ferrari garage.

More fortunate flags for Alpine.

Hamilton acting like a 4 year old. Again.

Whining about Quali…

Apparently self awareness is not his strong suit.

Boooo McLaren.
McLaren has the coolest gear. My kid bought McLaren polo. I asked him how much. $395! Damn, will wearing make your Subaru faster?

It was roughly a tie between Red Bull and McLaren swag for the fans at F1 in LV.

Dutch news reporting Perez will be out next year, Lawson most likely to replace him.

Perez definitely needs to go but I think Lawson is a mistake, it's too early. They just seem to really, really hate Tsunoda.

Perez ending his 2024 and possibly career in predictable form

T'was a great season.

Definitely, so many unique race winners. Title fight wasn't mega close in the end but did briefly look to be in contention, but the WCC was down to the wire. I think 2021 is still my favourite since I started watching in 2015 though.

I think next year Lando will have the best chance, it seems like Red Bull are on a downward trajectory. I still think Max is the far better driver, but he won't get the car he needs or a teammate who can support him. Lando wasn't ready for a title fight this year, but I think he'll be more mentally prepared for it next year. I expect Ferrari could challenge too, but McLaren seem like the favourites right now and Piastri just isn't quite at the same level as Norris on pace yet.

Lewis is a bit of an unknown for me. I don't expect him to be beating Leclerc, but I do hope he's in the mix. I definitely think he'll perform better than this year, he clearly lost all confidence in the car and the team. To be honest, as someone who really disliked Lewis in the Merc dominance era, I'll be barracking for him more than anyone next year. He's owed that 8th after what happened in Abu Dhabi 2021.

I worry Lewis has lost a step, hopefully he will do well and be on par with or quicker than Leclerc, but Leclerc really is an exceptional qualifier. If he doesn’t do well, the Italian sports media are going to tear him apart and blame Fred for bringing him in and I hope that doesn’t happen.

I really hope Newey has been coming up with some incredible ideas while riding around the backyard lawn on his zero-turn and delivers a top tier for Fernando to sink his teeth into. His leave ends some time in Q1 2025 so he won’t be able to get into the launch car but a B-spec car could be special. Lance will still be a potato but that’s fine, every Batman needs a Robin.

I'm still willing to give Hamilton the benefit of the doubt, he's shown he can put on race winning performances still, and he's had a deck stacked against him this year with a car he hates and a team who won't take his feedback onboard or share all the data with him because he's leaving for Ferrari. It's clearly hit his motivation hard, but he's good at bouncing back over the break. I hope it's not another Ricciardo situation though.

This would be cool to see, but the gulf between Aston and the top four is massive. They're definitely already best of the rest (Formula 1.5) but even with some Newey magic and Alonso still showing decent performances even at 43, I don't expect to see them place higher in the standings next year. I do expect they'll close the gap to some degree.

Aston will never close the gap until they replace Stroll with a real driver. Lance looks more checked out than Lewis this past season.
