Perhaps you should both google him. He raced for Enzo and deserves respect, unlike Hamilton.

Why ever not? Hamilton is the most successful F1 driver of all time.

Because he has not been at Ferrari yet.

Also for about the last 5 years or so, Hamiltion praises his team for every win, and take credit for alot of the losses up untill last year.

He has been super critical of the car and the design of the car and they continued to keep the driver position more forward with the longer wheel base that MB is known for which causes Hamiltons primary issue with the car. This makes it harder to understand how much the rear end is moving with the slight oversteer needed to go around a corner fast. Hamiltons primary engineer has been on his side for the past 3 years and was not listened to and left for Ferrari before anyone thought Hamilton would move. This car design is exactly the part of the contract that allowed him to leave early.

Hamilton has also been far less critical of the team and the car then other drivers have been over the past decade.. Famously Alonso calling an engine a F2 engine over the radio, or even Max complaining about lack of power in every interview and every race on the radio for 2 seasons....

So I am not sure what exactly your problem is with him. As even Max Verstappen considers him one of the 5 best drivers ever in F1.

It's weird that the Team and Toto only have nice things to say about him still.

Apparently, you know more than people that work for AMG and the press that travels with the teams.

They know saying what they think will only make themselves look bad. You think Toto is happy he negotiates a contract and it barely goes into effect and Lewis goes buh bye?

His actions and sticking up for Lewis since, has gone beyond anything he had to do.

Do you get mad when other drivers who have been successful in the past leave for another team when it did not workout out as well? I assume you hate Danny Ric and Seb for leaving RB when they did. Alonso must be the anti-christ for his team hopping!

If Mercedes were so hell bent on keeping Lewis they would’ve offered more than a 1+1 contract. Ferrari gave him fully guaranteed years plus the ambassadorship role. Mercedes said nope 1+1 is all you get from us with the option for either side to terminate. Not sure why you’re so mad about Lewis leaving Mercedes when they had the chance to retain him. They chose not to and Lewis exercised his right to leave.

Lewis rear ended Kimi Raikkonen in his Ferrari, in the pitlane in 2008. That is a transgression that should never be forgiven.

So unless you think Nico should never have been forgiven either, I do not think you remember this accident the way it happened. Looks like an unsafe Ferrari release followed by Kimi yielding at the last second but Kubica also trying to yield at the last second, when the Pit Lane red came on without an announcement to the teams and the cars at full pit speed heading to the exit. Then Lewis picked it up late, and Nico picked it up late.

Remember F1 cars do NOT have brake lights.

Also you forget that Kimi rear ended Sutil in the race right before that.

Kimi lost it under braking while racing. Lewis and Nico were simply not paying attention. Biggest difference, Kimi admitted he made an error.

poor driving vs late marshal pit exit close without notifying the teams... OK

What's that got to do with the price of fish? How can he have done anything for Ferrari? he hasn't driven for Ferrari yet??

The Schumacher Ferrari era was most certainly unashamedly incredibly Schumacher-focused, it certainly wasn't very Eddy Irvine focused for example.
I think it's safe to say that at McLaren it's also about the team, and it would be safe to say the same for Mercedes, ART etc. etc.

Somebody who hardly makes any errors, makes a slight error and 'that should never be forgiven' seriously?
You hold it against them for the rest of their incredibly successful career? for the rest of their life? It's not like somebody died or even got injured.
Seems a tad harsh don't you think?

No need for insults, but I’m not the one who signed a two year contract that was already void after 5 months.

?? If you're referring to the one-plus-one contract, actually that's not the same as a two-year contract.

I only know what the official Formula 1 website wrote. I tend not to concern myself with minutiae.

Lewis Hamilton has put pen to paper on a new Mercedes contract that will keep the seven-time world champion onboard through the 2025 season, with team mate George Russell also retained for the same period.

Just so everyone who seems so concerned about what I like and dislike, I dislike kittens also.
