Not buying much these day's but this has arrived

Omega Seamaster (pre De Ville) ref. 14775 SC - 61, cal. 610 from ca. 1961.
Love the dial and no lumen hands and index 😀
Before (auction pics) and after pics with a new crystal, secondhand, service and a NOS 1037 with 570 end pieces from the drawer 😀

The last one I bought for technically < $500 was . . .

. . . this ref 2608 last year, but by the time servicing, strap, buckle, and parts were tallied, it's > $1K.

I think the days of net <$500 keepers is long gone.

Back to Omega watches: Quite a few neato vintage Omega watches live here that cost less than $500, but they were purchased in former era of vintage watch collecting.

I have14 Omegas. The only two of these that I paid more than $500 for was both my Omega Speedmaster, and my Speedmaster reduced. My better half has three Omegas, all in karat gold cases. I paid less than $500 total for all three. (Then had to do much work resuscitating two of the three!) Anyway, you don’t want to see pictures of 15 Omegas that I paid less than $500 (each), for.
