Could not find a 2019 thread 😀

Omega Constellation C-shape ref. 168.017, cal. 564 from 1968 with an uncommon dial

Just under 400$

First pic is sellers pic, there was an original buckle on the strap. I have added an original glas and strap.

Just got this omega seamaster 166.067 for 400€, all original and freshly serviced.
I added an easily found cheap Morellato strap, thinking about picking up an older buckle and a cognac or whiskey Cordovan to go with it.

This nice Seamaster 🥰🥰
This Connie for $385 (then added a $200 service)

This Seamaster for $500-yes a redial but I think it’s stunning, freshly serviced and the bracelet is worth 1/2 is what I paid

Was looking for a cal. 601 movement for a project and found this one 😀

The price was only 104$ so my plan was the take the movement at scrap the rest, but when i got it in hand I could not get my self to scrap it. It is in good shape and runs fine so I gave it a new crystal and an Omega strap, and now I am still looking for a caliber 601 😀

Omega Genéve ref. 135.070, cal. 601 from 1970

$400 with box and papers- Valjoux 7765 manual wind- would take this sucker over a 7750 any day as it’s so slim in comparison.

Can I bend the rules by a Jackson? This one was just over the $500 limit:

then a pretty hefty service bill gave this back:

I do better in Reno, not a bad idea. 👍 Actually I have bought several watches from Eastern Europe, this being the nicest, and have had pretty good luck there. My only Latin American experience resulted in getting a front loader held together with rubber cement. ::facepalm1::

What about taxes and duties when buying from Eastern Europe and South America. For me there are no taxes if buying within the European Union but South America is a completely different story. My local, postman is the tax collector in this case and he is ruthless in his pursuit of duties. This is calculated on both the watch plus shipping costs plus a hefty fee to cover the post mans time and effort. Sucks.

The sellers have always handled the customs paperwork. I have made eight or ten international purchases and have never been asked to pay duties. All watches were under $1,000 though. I will never buy another watch from South America. I broke even with a partial refund and parting out the watch, but it was way too much work and stressful. I did not want to risk sending it back to get stiffed on the refund. I have learned a lot since then and the price was too good to be true on that one. Another story, but eBay buyer protection has never let me down. Always a lot of work though. It also seems like shipping is about half the price from Europe and Latin America take forever to ship (slower customs than Europe). When I sent a case to Canada to be replated, I did fill out the customs paperwork and it was a pain, but since it was parts for repair, I paid nothing. I am looking at a watch from Japan now. I'll update on customs if I pull the trigger.

135.041 from 1969 running a manual wind cal 601. At $280, had to have it for the colour scheme alone. And it comes with the box. Sellers pics

Not the best. But Ok for around 400$? (note that I live in Sweden where everything is very expensive compared to other countries)

Need a new glass tough. It broke when I removed the movement because there was dust inside the glass, as seen in the pictures around 12 . The glass fell out and broke 🙁
No Omega crown so that sucks.

Movement runs ok, maybe + 30-45 sec per day. The dial looks pretty good, nice and even patina.

Did i pay a decent price?

Great even patina on the dial, the gold pops nicely in the dial- get it service and cleaned up and it will be a stunner. You did just fine IMO.
