I bought this early Speedmaster Reduced 175.0032 for 12€ at a German fleamarket portal. Well, in the end we agreed to 250€, cause the wife of the seller started googling after the sale 😁

I was a bit afraid it could be a fake or something, but it turned out to be a genuine and pretty nice one from 1989.

My kind of watch. It looks great and, at $200, a bargain besides.

$300 for this freshly serviced Cosmic 2000 from the OF private sales forum. The spiderweb dial has character and at 38mm diameter it’s one of my bigger vintage watches. Very presentable casual watch!

Something similar happened to me when I was buying my PloProf years ago, I asked the shop to see the "good stuff in back" since all shops do this, and so he brought out the ProPlof. He named his price, around $4,500 if I recall, and I then tried the watch on and was looking it over. While doing so he said, "these have a cool history, let me show you something" and started to google. After a couple of minutes I saw his expression change and then he flipped the monitor around to show me an Antiquorum auction result for $14,000 for a PloProf. I thought for sure the deal was lost but I spoke up, "We all know Antiquorum prices don't reflect reality..." and he interrupted me and said, "I will honor the price I told you if you buy it right now... 5... 4... 3..." Yes, he started a countdown, but knowing I wanted it I still managed to whip my credit card out before he finished.
One of the more unusual watch deals I've made.

Picked up this Ref. 196.0121 with a Cal. 1370 quartz movement a few weeks back (interesting movement with a jumping hour hand). Serial no. dates it to circa 1978-79. Paid roughly US$ 150 in local currency from a local South African auction site. Mrs. Kaapstad saw it, loved it, and demanded that I put it on a forest green suede strap for her. So it goes...
Love the blue dials

Just arrived Omega Genéve, ref. 135.070, cal. 601 from 1970

Omega ref. 14794-62 SC cal. 610 from 1962, not a common reference

Last two pics are auction pictures
