Bought yesterday for £5.00 ,from a bric a brac shop or Tat shop as Mrs CPRwatch calls them . I was only in the shop looking at some early Beatles singles & it just caught my eye . I think it's an early Smiths 6RG but really don't know anything more . image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg

If one had the opportunity to purchase a watch that had both a waffle dial and a logo on a plank for $175, wouldn’t you take it?

Not an Omega, but very close...

    Here’s the whole watch:

Cal. 22A, Longines’ first automatic movement. Longines has confirmed delivery of this watch to Colombia in 1954.

OK, so it’s not perfect. But it does keep time.

This just came in today. It is a Marc & Sons Sport Modding MSD-045-2S. It has a Seiko NH35 movement so should be very reliable and easy to service. It cost me $233.81 with taxes and shipping. I have been itching for a white dial watch and wanted a diver so this fit the need very nicely. I must say, for how it feels, wears and looks it's worth every penny so far. Pretty sure I found my new vacation watch. Rubber straps coming in on Friday for it as well, just in time for vacation next week .

42mm diameter and 15.4mm height. Wore it all day today on the bracelet and it was very comfortable. I highly doubt this will fit under a sleeve very well though. Which is fine for the purpose I bought it for. Vacations, days at the waterpark with the kids and boating.

I couldn't resist this very nice champagne dial vintage Wyler Incaflex Superior. Has an ETA 25 jeweled movement, not sure which one? Runs like a top! Got it for cheap, to boot!

Picked this up for well under $500. Driven by an A. Schild calibre 1430. Love it!

Landed this sparkle dial Seamaster for a bit under $400 on eBay and it just arrived this week! I couldn't be quite sure what it was given the crappy seller photos, but the gamble paid off. I'm guessing it's a 166.032. I didn't realize I wanted this watch until I bought this watch, it's got a great shape and serious wrist presence. The weird winding and setting action is interesting too if a bit counterintuitive.

The catch: ? I wore it for an hour and it's running fast.. like five minutes per hour fast. Yikes! I took it right off and let it run down, and am going to start trolling for watchmakers who do cal 752s (tips welcome).

Possibly just magnetized. Likely a 10 minute free fix from your favourite watchmaker. This is based on my experience with a magnetized watch

Just received this Omega 17-jewel hand-winding movement, calibre 625, which is is clean and seems to be working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number, 39,637,029, dates it back to around 1975.

The watch is only 26mm and high excluding the lugs. The case is gold 20Mu plated and it is in lovely condition. The stainless steel case back is signed to the inside with the Omega logo and the case reference 511.415 which is correct for the calibre 625. The winding crown has the Omega logo and the signed dial is in good condition IMO.
The lens is the original with a couple of light scratches but not overly noticeable to the naked eye.Im sure I can polish out.
Although the buckle is an Omega buckle it’s not original as it’s 16mm in size which is the same as the strap.

It’s not my first Sq tank style cased Omega but I really like it because of the Roman numerals. I suppose that why I bought it ....lol. As for the price £140 delivered which is about $170.
