2017 was the year I ventured out (somewhat) from Rolex, with Tudor and Omega. Some have moved along to make room for the next one, and some are still with me. But as with every year, I started and ended with my trusty 1680 red sub. Looking forward to what 2018 brings!

As stated above this thread is always a joy to read.

I'm pretty happy with this year, I've been able to show some constraint. I started quite a few projects and was also able to finish at least two of them. I have also managed to gather a lot of parts that will come in handy one day. All an all I think that the pieces I've added this year are key pieces of my collection.

I need to acknowledge @Tony C. @Dre @aap and @oddboy for their help, enabling and/or friendship.

Happy Holidays to all.

Super fun thread!

Right now I'm down to only 2 mainstays.

@chow99 Rolex 16700

And a 1990 14060.

I have an elgin sportsman coming in for an older watch look and a pretty fun looking seiko astronaut.

For the time being im just waiting for a nice 5513 to come by. Hope to get it in OF 😀

Only one this year. Managed to squeeze it in just before the year ended. Picked it up yesterday.

Only the one for me this year (not for want of looking )
SS 168.010 from U.K. auction a couple of weeks ago but hasn’t got to see it in the flesh until a couple of days ago.
Took a bit of a gamble that the marks on the case were just human detritus -and they were.
It’ll be off to the spa after Christmas.
Pictured with its cousin bought at the end of last year.
Both of these Connies were bought from U.K. auction houses and could figure in the under $500 thread. You’ve just got to know what you’re looking for - and get lucky.

Although I own a few modern watches (SMP 2264 my daily wearer) this year has been my first foray into vintage Omega.
I prefer dress watches hence my focus on Constellations. Not so sure about the Dynamic yet but i will give it more wrist time before I decide whether it’s a keeper.
A Memovox and a C shape Connie are on next years list.

I know.... - but decision was taken purely to „how many times worn in the last few months“.....

Might be a wise decision - but I had the trilogy in my hands at Basel ..... so I went home and started to sell some of my watches... (toughest sell was Spectre as a James Bond fan... ) ;-)
