Hi.
Pity the comp wasn't for 2016.
I bought my Omega on a car boot sale.
I just didn't have the nerve to barter with the seller so I paid him his asking price of £2.00.
Paid him and ran just in case he changed his mind.
My wife said " How much will you get for it " but I fell in love with it!!
Can I still win last years comp!!
Joe.

You realise that we only see the top of a worn strap while we're reading that? Scrolling down, my jaw dropped. Was it running?

Its in need of some TLC as can be seen.

I think you win for 2016...not even my friend's 18k Seamaster in a $10 bag can beat that!

Holy macaroni, great scores!
in what country are there still car boot sales and flea markets where such watches can be found?
Congrats to both...

Definitely not in the place where I stay. Flea market - yes. Bargain - hardy.

I live in Tuscany (Italy) and the market was here. 2 years ago I found a nice Zenith Autosport con bitonal dial for 50 euros (the seller told me that I had to change the battery! 😁) It is not a real flea market but an open space where people and families have their yard sale.
I donate the Omega to my wife because of the small size: 31 mm.
She loves it.

Hi.
The car boot sales we go to are in the UK.
One in particular we like I recently bought a couple of other watches inc a Seiko, both of them I made a good profit on.
There still are bargains to be found 😀
Good luck hunting.
Joe.

It's in the mail. Well under $200. It should clean up nicely and with a proper strap should look much better.

Makes sense considering the watch .... we don't have those across the channel but it's nice to hear there are happy finds.

I bet she does, it's a great watch-- well done!
