Dial is original in my opinion.

I meant the damage above 9, wasn't questioning the authenticity 馃榾

Ah, unfortunately there is a little dent by the 9 which wasn't mentioned in the listing. Not a perfect example!

I totally hear you, and saw the challenge for Omega. My thought was merely to open up to all watches.

Would it be ok to start an overall challenge in the general forum? Didn't want to just do it without asking.
Great Idea!

I got this "survivor" in a barter deal, earlier this year. The previous owner acquired a number of ladie's watches and this Omega from an inheritance. He wanted the ladie's watches serviced so he could give them to relatives. I serviced the watches and became the owner of this one. I don't have a "before" photo of it. But after a donor dial, donor case, hand-made case clamp, replacement mainspring, and more work than I wish to recall, it is a pleasure to wear. A very reliable and accurate caliber 351 bumper automatic from the early 1950s. Poor pictures of the trashed gold filled case.

Ha! Me Neither!

Better get on the keyboards,

Gentlemen - In your own time GO!

(I suggest the first buyer of a sub $500 Non Omega starts the thread).

The way the 拢 is going, I might be able to add a few to this thread ... but not yet. $1.14 to the 拢 this morning! 馃う

Er no. But you did make me run to check.

Lowest in last 12 months 1.21 in october. currently 1.228, still awful but better than the coffee choking 1.14

I bought a 105.012CB for $500, but it needed about $6k spent on it, so would have been cheaper to buy one that wasn't destroyed but then I have a soft spot for near dead watches that deserve another shot at life.

That was the posted rate at an exchange booth for buying this morning, not the headline or true fx ... but yeah ... it's enough to ruin your coffee. Right now, Travelex are quoting 1.208 ... XE 1.229 ... I'm not looking any further, it makes me want to weep.

Free. Their vintage bracelets were worth more than the price of the watch.

The 30T2 Techron was in a bag of "junk" given to me by a friend who was cleaning house, the pocket watch was about $300.

I suggest No Posts Without A Photo,
Omegas only under $500, bought in 2017.

I'll start:
Arrived two days ago. Of course I know nothing about it, apart from it "bumps" and I like the dial.

$242 delivered

Wasn't that just on ebay? I saw it or one very like it. I'm not a fan of dial patina but I did think I could happily live with that one. Great buy.
