    What do these numbers mean on my case? I have tried to read them using different codes but cannot find what they mean from anywhere, I thought it may have been fake but I found a similar 1942 watch for sale with numbers like it,

    The numbers are: 10257974...anyone throw any light on it?

    That’s the movement serial number. Google ‘Omega serial number chart’ to get an approximate age. I assume it’s from the ‘40’s.

    There should be another number, possibly 4 digit, inside the caseback. That’s the reference number

    David, he is posting this on multiple threads, and I answered him elsewhere. It's the case (serial) number. The watch has no reference number.

    And so far the only thing that seems to date to 1942 is the case.
