Hi guys,
I was offered this, at first glance, I thought It was a heavily redial because the dial looks spanking new.
But hey, when I look closer at the text, they are clearly embossed. So could it be a nos black dial here.
Apreciate your time.
Harry.

It also has the subtle sunburst finish that you don't usually see on the modern redials. Usually its just a glossy black coating. If it's a redial and the price is right, I'm not even certain I'd care.

Redial, IMO.

Black dial Omegas of this era (any vintage black dial Omegas?) do not have sunburst finish; that is, however, a trait of a lot of redialed Korean watches.

Where is it offered? Please post a link to the sale.

It is a local market sale so I dont have any link to it, not from Korea though. I dont know about the sunburst era, but the embossed texts get me. Usually only flat text on those redial. Am I getting that information correctly? Thanks, Harry.

I think the text only speaks of the quality of the redial. The sunburst effect is well done too, but wrong for the period.

The quality is excellent, just goes to show, where’s there’s a buck to be made, redials/facsimiles/fakes however you look at it, are getting better all the time !

It’s very well done that’s for sure.
What stands out for me is the over exaggerated serifs, in particular on the Omega printed text.

Is´nt the flat top of the "A" one of the best indicators of a redial !?

I'd say not always and not necessarily.

Text should be gilt on this model, not white. It’s often hard to tell but with the different angles above it seems white to me.

Something seems off, but can’t say what. Maybe, like @ConElPueblo says, just a feeling that it’s not period correct, or corresponding to Omega designs from this era.

I’d love to see it in person, and I’m wondering what results you can obtain reproducing Omega original designs with that kind of skills ...

When the redial is better looking than what the original dial would be.... Let's just say I'd wear this happily.

@nanjingcigaretes , I am most curious about the price. Would you tell us?

Like the others, I gotta say this is the best redial I have ever seen! A really cool looking watch.

That's the first thing tat jumped out at me as well.

Seems to be screaming "look, ive got serifs!"
