Hi there, got my 145.016 some time ago, as the golden dial had slight signs of usage (still have it), i replaced it with a silver one, which i like even more (didnt find a golden one). The dial should originally be for the 321 models (145.006) as it has the slim S Seamaster lettering. Also had one 18k pusher missing and the wrong crown, which i both luckily was happy to aquire and install. Didnt polish it, so it has some usage signs, but sharp edges. Running strong and wearing it occasionally.

I want to ask your opinion. The blue strap matches well with the gold case. recently I saw a blue crocodile and a blue calf with nubuck leather dressing on the watch. What would you prefer.

I wonder if this solid gold bracelet is something that was meant for this model or not. It is not branded as Omega. The seller says it was made by Fontana in the 1970s for Omega. Can't find any info about that.

Chrono 24 has such a watch with a similar bracelet. On yours, the middle element of the link of the bracelet, or the middle of the bracelet is polished to a mirror state. On your photos satin is applied in this place. End links are the same. I think both are original.

I guess the standard one lookes like the one shown in this commercial (from Germany). Maybe in other countries they had diffrent bracelet models (and manufacturers?).

It was my first time last night holding both a 145.006 to compare with my 145.016. I was always under the impression they shared the same case and I’m not sure if it was the beer goggles but I swear the 321 calibred watch had slightly smaller dimensions.
Can anyone provide a definitive answer please?

Hi All - new to this forum and thread…been a long time owner of what I believe is a reference 146.006-66. Anyone seen this dial where the sub dial is 3-6-9-12? Any thoughts or comments? Watch is currently getting serviced for my wearing pleasure…I love the vibes and will likely never sell…have had for over 20 years.

Hi, welcome to the forum and thank you for sharing yours. Unfortunately, that is a refinished dial. All three sub dials (at the least) have been repainted incorrectly. That said, your enjoyment is what is important and if you have been enjoying this for over 20 years 👍

Thanks for the responses! Appreciate it.

Is it worth it/possible to find replacement dials (genuine) for the watch? Any resource recommendations?

Lastly, any thoughts for how much to insure the watch for, given I’m assuming their is a discount because of the re-painted dial? I’m in the process of insuring all of my watches…thank you!

Luckily for you, a fair few original dials for this particular reference can still be found intermittently on eBay. Best of luck landing one, or you could post a WTB in the appropriate section here on OF.

Let's add to the list an Exotic Seamaster from the earlier generation, 145.006-66 with calibre 321.

A 145.006 in its rarest variation that I called the Exotic dial (not Racing because unlike the Speedmaster this dial doesn't have a racing minute track) :

- Satin black ' Swiss Made, No T' dial
- Applied logo
- Regular sub counters
- Tritium/red indexes, except at 3,6,9 and 12 which are white/red
- No integrated scale
- Red Minute/Hour hands with a tritium track, red running seconds
- White sweeping hand, regular white chrono-subcounter hands

So far, I have referenced only 4 Seamasters 145.006 (calibre 321) in this configuration. One sold at Antiquorum in 2018 to an italian dealer, it was in a similar condition to mine, above. Two sold on eBay with a dial in a much worse conservation condition and the red hands were missing.

Also interesting to mention that this 145.006-66 was produced in 1969 (!) according to the Extract from the Archives.

--> First reference post updated accordingly.

My.... this is gorgeous. 😲😲😲🥰🥰🥰

just curious, if ever i encounter one of these, what's the fair price for these watches?
I assume 145.006 is more expensive than 145.016 being 321 movement?

TIA

Fair price... fair to the seller or buyer? 😀
145.006s start from 2,8k EUR to 20k (gold model with bracelet).
145.016 is similar.

The gold models of course cost more. I think fair to the buyer is from 5k. The cheapest for sale on C24 is 7k EUR.
But, one sold recently for 3,7k! And Eric Wind sold for 5,5k a month ago.

Thanks a lot for the info. So anything under 4k is a bargain already I guess. Not the cheapest bargains 🤔
