Including tax?
Tax is added afterwards here in the US since cities and states will have different tax rates. My parents live 30 miles from me and their tax rate is 7.25%. Where I live, my tax rate is 8.25%.

It is pretty silly. I live 17 miles from the boutique. If they ship a watch to me (free shipping), I save .5% versus picking it up in person (because of difference in local tax rates).

I bought my hesalite Speedmaster from my only AD in a one hour radius five years ago for £2,800...checked with them this morning an the current hesalite is now £5,710.

It's doubled in 5 years, crazy. I'm priced out of what Omega is these days, merely admiring them through a screen is as good as it gets for me.

Yo no increase for Canada, that's gotta be a first. Usually we get shafted before anyone really. But damn, that's mighty fine as I still need to add couple of Omega to my arsenal.

Add in inflation and the loss in future purchasing power and it's silly to not buy a luxury watch now. 😉

Same applies to Real Estate, Gold, Bitcoin and you name it...been saying that for years.
Fake money is going to die soon.

All UK dealers and boutiques appear to have implemented the rises. The AT I bought on leather in 2019 has gone from £4000 to £4840. That's crazy. NTTD also gone up. Goldsmiths when googled show the lower price but not when you click the link. The Beaverbrooks price is up too.
Hope you all got in before the rise if you were on the fence. G

It's highly unlikely I'm buying any Omega again that is not a special edition.

I’m in that same boat. Maybe the odd vintage or nearing-vintage piece.

I have all the Omegas I wanted. I'm not into SE or LE's, so I'm all set for quite a while.

According to the CEO of Omega, there will no longer be LEs.
Good. They should also follow Rolex’s lead and not make any SE watches as well.

I don't disagree with most of this, but none of that supports the Ed White being "above the quality of a Rolex"

The Daytona is basically the same price but is more accurate, has a larger power reserve, is more anti-magnetic, has a column wheel, is vertical clutch, has a higher beat rate, has ceramic bearings for the automatic winding system, more jewels, is more waterproof, is more shockproof, and has a better built clasp.

I'm a big Omega fan, but the Daytona is technically superior,

I don’t care to engage in whether there is technical superiority, per se, but instead to say that comparing the modern Daytona to the NEW321 seems apples to oranges, whether for or against.

Unless we’re talking pure aesthetics, in which case - while obviously subjective - my personal preference is clear

That said, I’m the context of this thread on price increases: how many pending NEW321 “full” deposits have just become “nearly full” deposits? The U.S. site still shows no price change, at $14,100

It seems like the US was spared a price increase this go around.

why? There’s obvious demand for the special editions.

Agreed. I think the Speedmaster and Zenith Chronomaster Sport look much better than the Daytona. No Rolex's actually do anything for me from an aesthetic POV except an old Day-Date.

Hmm. Not Snoopy neither 321 are limited, now go find them. Will other models go this way?
Reminds me some R-word.

I wonder if this is an A/B test. Increase the price in market X, keep it the same in market Y and see the long-term effects.

Limited Edition and hard-to-find at retail are not the same thing.

Everything costs more just about everyday currently, have to raise prices to keep in business
