·Even if so, I find such advertisements from ADs really shady. Despite the good intentions, it looks like an aggressive nudge to buy the watch (as opposed to focusing on marketing Omega’s unique selling points, for example). Also, what’s the point when I can still get 20-25% off of MSRP?

I don’t get it though, since you can still get them new from an AD (with a 5-year Omega warranty) for the ~$4,600 mark. That’s down from an MSRP of $5,400.
I get it. Omega is repositioning itself (after all, high quality products shouldn’t ever be discounted). But that’s not the case on the ground. Far from it.

Back in the late-70's and early-80's prices were raised two or three times a year by substantial amounts due to raging inflation. It could happen again, the era of 2% inflation looks like it is gone for awhile.

·Source of that page? Wording doesn't sound legit, Omega wouldn't tell people to "shop now to avoid disappointment".
but I also heard of people that has been warned by some OB about the same.
