When I bought my SMP last week from an actual Omega boutique in the US (5th ave NYC) I inquired about this price increase and none of the associates knew about it. They even asked other associates in front me and they too had no clue.

The De Ville Tresor in rose gold is holding steady at a cool $16,200 even after placing it in my basket.

Now pardon me while I go take it back out. 😟

Sapphire is still $7150 in US. "Looks like we made it!"

Is so presented on the German side, I was also surprised

Haven't read the whole thread but UK.

Speedy hesalite £5710 up from £5370
Sapphire £6480 up from £6120

My local AD, Burrells in Winchester had the old prices up when I checked this morning, but seems that new prices are reflected across most AD websites.

the watch isn’t meant to be the latest technology, it is not metas certified like the most recent co-axial movements. It is a limited production reproduction of a vintage movement made to satisfy demand from hardcore fans and collectors. It is arguably much more rare than a standard steel Daytona, that is mass produced. The only reason you can’t buy a Daytona is because dealers are feeding them to gray market and back door taking kick backs under table from gray market dealers. The Ed White is pretty much only delivered to boutiques that are owned by Swatch. Rolex doesn’t own their own stores.

I don't disagree with most of this, but none of that supports the Ed White being "above the quality of a Rolex"

Doesn't seem like anyone's AD gave them the correct % and some weren't aware of a price increase

Why are they so out of the loop?

Try next step

I'm at the final step before payment, even put in fake contact details, still the same price.

Kind of off-topic, but how does that total work? The column shows VAT (MWST) but the VAT is not included in the total at the bottom.

Prices in Switzerland always already include the VAT for everything (also in restaurants), so we don't have to do the maths ourselves, and it's actually what matters, the final amount that leaves your pocket and not some pre-tax number that is meaningless. But then again our VAT is the same across the entire country, it's a federal tax not a state tax.
