Yep it's weird to be honest. Looks cool and I sort of get how useful it could be when used properly but for a general user it is a bit strange... Once you unscrew the crown it goes loose so you can move the bezel but that means it's sort of dangling a bit whilst you set the time. Sure I'll get used to it and as I've said it looks cool but for everyday practicality (like quick setting for the parking meter etc) could actually be a bit of a pain!

Anyway, will play/experiment with it further in a bit when trying some different straps and report back!

That’s what I thought, thanks for confirming. I’m definitely the very casual parking meter timing/fresh press steeping dive watch wearer, so likely not for me, but it looks great and I think will be a real beaut once that patina takes hold. Wear it in the best of good health!

Now I've had a bit of a 'play' with it the bezel lock is fine... In fact the crown is very pleasingly solid and stiff in general and so is the bezel. I'm a right wrist wearer which makes the lock a bit of a pain to adjust when wearing but it'll be cool.
Anyway, more photos (I'll stop now I promise!)...

Just got home to my delivery. I can't find any QC flaws but I'm blessed with weak vision and a poor attention to detail. I'm quite pleased.

Here's some now-redundant photos.

Looking good, gentlemen. I can't wait for mine now!

@OHS I can't believe you are still in enabling mode even though some of us coughed up months ago! 😉

Good pictures all, nice to see them delivering when expected. Now to see if the GMTs get delivered in November.

Sorry! First day excitement! I've calmed down now 😀

To balance out my positivity.... They did get my Ltd edition number slightly wrong. I've been in touch with Yema and waiting on a response. Thankfully mine is quite simple for them to fix but I've seen a couple of other people over on FB saying they've received totally the wrong numbers which will be pretty hard to correct if they've already given it to someone else! Watch backs flying around the globe?

I'm not a fan of Facebook as it tends to be a BS echo chamber and literally only use it for work and the yema group so would definitely take anything on their with a pinch of salt!

I recall the limited edition number allocation process being a bit haphazard at the time of ordering; "bung your request in this sea of comments and we'll deal with it" sort-of-vibe.

It's perhaps unsurprising some requests have gone awry. Fingers crossed!

Just received this, can't wait.

I don’t think it’s necessary to hide the serial numbers in pics although I understand it’s a habit in the hobby. I only bring this up because your order number coincides with your LE number. So if you didn’t expect #804 you should let them know immediately. It’s funny when I asked for what numbers were available at the time they told the first ones taken were the first and last numbers and then 666. People are predictable....

Great. Had no idea. Yes, I specifically asked for 804, as it's my eldest son's birthday. I plan to give him one. I also have #314 coming for my other son who is a math nerd. But he is not a watch fan, so I get to wear it until he becomes more watch friendly.

I hid mine not because I care about serial numbers, but because it's my birthday and I don't want everyone to get stressed out every year worrying about what gift to get me.

the gradient type dial is an exceptional color in person. it truly looks like the blue ocean.

i really like how it darkens to what appears to be almost black alongside the seconds track.

not many pics pic up on how nice it is

The 41mm arrived. Wow. This one is for my oldest son. The 39mm is coming too, still waiting for delivery date.

I'm impressed. Beautiful.

First post on this forum!
This watch is my best purchased for new watches below $800.( okay... there are only a few I bought below this cost, but this one is a clear winner)
It wears really well, and the combo of the unusual vintage blue with the bronze is terrific.
I always wanted to purchase a bronze vintage style watch, and almost pulled the trigger on a IWC spitfire.
For now I am covered.
OHS, we seem to have similar taste in watches and table tops 😀

I right away expedited the patina, and added a dark brown strap.

😀 haha, great minds think alike!

Maybe people could help me out a little actually because I think I'm going crazy.... How many times does the bezel on your Yema click?

It's meant to be 120 and that is what my Oris and Baltic watches do (the bb58 just does a wonderfully smooth 60 clicks) but my Superman does 90 and due to this seems to go out of sync part way around.. Its driving me crazy getting my head around it!

Is it a fault with just my watch or are they all like that and is there a specific 'dive related' reason for them being 90 clicks that I'm missing? 😵‍💫

A couple other owners have mentioned the 90 click bezel, one a 39mm and the other 41mm.

Definitely not just mine then! But I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing 👎

It's odd because it sort of sounds OK... 60, 90, 120... so I keep expecting a diver to chime in and it be a real 'doh' moment. But then the spec on their website says 120 so who knows!

I've contacted Yema and the guy said he'll get back to me on Monday so we'll see....

Mine (the 39mm) is 90 as well. A weird error, but honestly I'm never going to use the bezel, doesn't bother me much.
