it just doesn't work. even if u want it to work it doesn't. that's something you pick up in 20 years or trying to fool yourself

maybe the yema will fit like the trilogy seamaster

No argument here, the Speedy definitely doesn't work for you. That's why I added added the caveat "if" ☺

that's not me. that's another peep on the forum. i'm just using it for an example for people to use

even though watches do look larger than they are in pics, this one is clearly too big

I'm with you.

I told my wife I paid just over a grand for the 39/41 package. I could not remember the price, but I don't think I was not that far off.

The kickstarter price was above a grand?

I bought two watches. I think they list them in euros on that page. And when you order the two pack you get a price break compared to ordering one.

the kstarter price was just over 700 usd. if you bought two watches the they gave you a discount bringing it down to just 650ea..or just over 1300 cost.

i guess they will pop up on the secondary market at the minimum of around 800-.up to 1000 depending on if peeps bought two to flip one or just for some reason doesn't like it.

factoring in shipping and fees a break even point for any seller will be around 800 depending on where you sell

with 1500 watches sold there should be some available to buy w/o paying full boat yema pricing.

it's not out of the question that people will pay 1k for it being that yema is selling them for 1399

chomping at the big for this. i have to say the dial is fantastic for me. i really hate applied indices outlined in silver like most brands use

they really captured a vintage essence with a brand that gives it plenty of fuk off value compared to many micros.

have to say, i'm still concerned about the movement

The big pain is that it ships after beach season is done

Agreed, very annoying.

Perhaps that's why the deluxe option came with a Mauritius dive holiday included?!

really wondering what bracelet will look good on this, if any. i wonder if you could pull off a TT on it...or buy that oris model and correct size endlinks

if not find a gold tone that closely matches the bronze?

or dare i say find a bronze 19mm bracelet..does something exist?

Bronze generally doesn’t react well with skin. That’s why the back case isn’t bronze. Although a bronze bracelet would look cool, if your skin turns green and itches it won’t be fun

The difference seems more subtle in other pics I've seen. Could be a pre-production piece or maybe the bright light is exaggerating it. I'm curious to see what it looks like in person. I'd be a little disappointed if the difference is as prominent as in that pic.

i don't think yema is being completely honest with us.

they were suppose to make 1948 watches of the 39mm and 41mm

this is 3896 watches overall

i believe they roughly sold over 1200 of them with the kickstarter campaign.

after the campaign was over they offered around 260-70 watches as limited editions that you could buy for $1399 on their website.

there was no mention of having an estimate of 2700 left to buy, even though there was suppose to be 3896 watches made. i emailed about them and their CS rep was very dodgy when i asked about it. she said things along the lines of, we'll get back to you, or some watches were sold outside of the kickstarter campaign. obv they didn't sell over 2000 of them like this.

the only reason i asked these questions is because i wanted to see if i could buy another one but they just gave me different answers and basically lied to the same questions i asked.

as of now you can't even buy the watch on their site.

i really beginning to think that there's no way in hell are they going to make 3896...but really,..why be evasive about things?

I'm guessing they've sold all the ones they've made parts for and they're keeping their options open about making more (up to the authorized limit).

maybe. that does allows them options that they don't want to be known. it's still secretive though, and goes against what they've told us

it does benefit the peeps that bought the watch.

i personally think they haven't made up their mind what they want to do.

i just don't like the 2 face approach

I'm not too worried about the numbers but I am surprised at the lack of communication - after such a great kickstarter campaign I would have expected a bit more build up to the completion date, especially now that we are what must be days/weeks from supposedly getting the watches.

I wonder if they are struggling a bit with getting it done to schedule and that may also explain why they've taken them back off sale/are being a bit cagey. Maybe they'll get this first batch done then have a breather before offering up another load with a delayed release date... A bit like baltic are doing with the Aquascaphe.

I suppose there's no rush to get the full load out and if build costs have escalated in someway it also gives them a chance to review pricing etc.
