I was due to fly in an old plane this year ...but got weather cancelled twice.... now due this year... I am very happy for them to redial all the bits that need it :0)
lol- that puts it in a new perspective.
Was the plane polished, I don’t know if I can fly in a plane that’s been polished and had parts replaced. Are the tires original? Is it water resistant to 50m? Can I take it in the pool?

It would make sense to have a watch / time piece as well.

A guy in the MWR forum is looking for a photo of a WW2 pilot with a thigh mounted watch. I have seen examples of test pilots with knee pads and stop watches, but I am not seeing many (any) photos of leg mounted kit for normal use. It does make sense - especially with the larger watches and for lone pilots. Of course in larger aircraft navigators had a work station so less of a need.
