Here we have a Hampden wristwatch from 1918. The chrome plated case measures about 32mm in diameter, not including the crown, 16mm lug width. This is a very early example of a wristwatch, many of which were converted pocket watch movements put into wristwatch cases. I'm pretty sure this is one of those, but the case is age appropriate. It's a driver's style wristwatch. Dial is gold in color and appears original. The 17 jewel, manual wind movement was serviced by my local watchmaker, before I bought it from him, so it keeps great time. Made in Canton Ohio, not far from me. Crystal is glass and in great shape. Band is a steel, stretchy, scissor type band. I'm asking $135 or best offer. Returns accepted if misrepresented.

Thanks,
Matt

When I started collecting, buying and selling back in 1989 these were the watches collectors were clamoring for. I'm glad to see we've swung back around to appreciating these vintage pieces.

Good question. I am not exactly sure, I would have to check when I get home. Judging by the picture though, it does kind of look like it.

Ever respond to a thread, think you're PM'ing someone? Lol. I just looked up the Hampden 400 movement, and it is listed as a 7 jewel movement.
