Ended up with the Citizen this afternoon for snow and ice clearing duties, we are certainly going through a rough spell and when you have pups to walk 🤬

Ahh a gilt dial is for sure on my wish list. One day I will add one to my collection. For now, my 7986 will suffice

Hey I visited your pyramid about 4 years ago! 😎

But this afternoon I'm wearing this one!

Decided to start to wear some watches that I haven't worn much in the last few years. So it's a Dubey & Schaldenbrand today, the Aerodyn Trophee. Made in the late 90's with movements from 1935-40, an Aurore caliber patented in Switzerland in 1935 as the first shaped movement with sweep seconds (no intermediate wheel or friction spring). They were hand engraved and gilt, set in substantial 18k rose gold curvex cases with really nice guilloche dials with period numerals and hands, 175 pcs. made around 1998. Easy watch to wear, and attractive on the wrist.

36mm SM120 on my 7½ inch wrist still looks impressively imposing imho.

nice 7986.

Out of several watches that the love of my life has surprised me with over the past year I must confess this bronze Hamilton is one of my favourites 🥰

A very warm and beautiful day in Athens. 21celcious seven days till Christmas, very unnatural and worrying but feels nice non the less. This must be what Christmas down under feels like😀, sans the Santa surfers of course.
