··Never Used A Kodak… And what are you doing about it?
I am discovering new body aches on a regular basis.
Disclaimer: I am 9 years cancer free and lucky to still ride my bike, kayak, lift weights and go for walks…
But there is almost always something that hurts and my wife has given up on telling me that I am not 25 anymore.
Examples:
Pain:
A few years ago it was my left hip.
Likely from years of wearing a heavy police belt but also from hardcore cycling and also having been hit by a truck in 2006.
Response:
X-rays. I do not need a new hip.
Yoga. Did not work.
Physio. Limited results.
Chiropractor. Better results.
Additional contribution: I am right handed so I started to behave like a lefty. Opening doors with my opposite hand, getting into the car differently, tasking my left leg and hip more.
It’s much better now.
I do my hip exercises every other day. A combination of those received from the chiropractor and some that I found online. The exercises take only a few minutes.
I do them on weight workout days.
-----------------
Today’s New ache…
My left hand, between the first and second knuckle.
Since I am in my shop, may as well include a photo with an awl that points to today’s ache. Complete with a watch, to honour the OF site.
This pain evokes what is felt after a good workout on the heavy bag. Except I haven’t used the heavy bag!
Response: For now, will give it a few days but may put ice on it.
To be continued.
What about you?
