LATE ENTRY: Along the lines of aspiring to be an astronaut, I distinctly remember when NASA distributed the astronaut [pilot] application pamphlets to our Navy SH-60B Seahawk helicopter squadron [HSL-45] back in the late 1980s/early 1990s...lol. All of us Seahawk pilots thought it was pretty funny since in order to even initially qualify as an astronaut [pilot], the NASA pamphlet specifically stated that you had to have X number of flight hours in tactical jets…and from what I remember, we danced around in the squadron passageways waving the NASA pamphlets exclaiming that maybe we could get waivers regarding the tactical jet time requirement. 😁

·This one, still. About 65-70 years old. Movement is a 17-jewel Landeron calibre 48, two-register, manual winder. It had been retired by a previous owner when I acquired it, and I did nothing with it for ten years. Serviced about one month ago, it gains a bit, but yesterday morning, I found it 5 minutes fast! Well, duh! It was within about an hour of being completely run down! Little wonder it gained!
