So this is what I think about 2-handers:
They're about confidence and
they're about belief.
First you have to have confidence in the mechanism; that is is well built and will perform its task accurately whether or not you are monitoring its performance.
You also have to believe in this performance regardless of the fact that you can't verify it at a glance.
Don't agree? How many dive watches are 2-handers? That'd be CRAZY right!?! I can't imagine anyone would want to risk their life believing in their watch to that degree.
I know that's a real mouthful to express about a modest Timex but this one has (almost) never let me down.
