Checking out my stuff, intending to rest the Date-Just. Almost the first one I looked at was my date at 6:00 calibre 355 from circa mid1950s. Why this one? Two reasons, actually. The date was set to the 4th, so it was easy to re-set. But also, I really like it! It spent about 50 years, in pieces, in a lozenge tin of Omega bumper automatic movement parts. All its parts were there, by a stroke of luck. Waffle dial is original.

That bracelet is crazy!! I have never seen nothing like it outside of Star Trek!
Thank you! for me one of the most beautiful Omega watches, a very avant-garde design for its time! 👍

Phewww...long week. Can finally relax. This one makes me feel like the horological equivalent of a fancy smoking jacket. 😜

Testing out this little watch that my wife bought for $21. She thought it was a mistake but it seems to work just fine. She bought it for herself. She had never heard of Waltham. There is a Waltham pocket watch on the fireplace mantel right in front her her as I type this!
