Max Bill today!
Was that just a straight shot from your cellphone?
Hi
@Walrus . Nothing too special here, stock Samsung S10, but not always in auto everything mode as it will often overexpose the watch as it tries to make the sleeve/wrist or background brighter. I often go to manual mode (so called Pro mode on Samsung), to manually set exposure time. Yesterday’s long line wrist shot in full auto mode. Not great.
…vs manual w/reduced exposure and cropped. Better!
Managing reflections is also important. Car pics can help because the roof can be used as a reflection shield (close the sunroof shade) while still getting good indirect light from the windows. Yesterday in the car…terrible!
Improved by reducing reflections but still didn’t make the cut.
Down by my lap and way underexposed as you can see by the darkness of my wrist and background. WRUW material! The POLM with it’s reflective dial luvs this type of exposure, by the way.
I rarely do high sunlight out-in-the-open wristshots…just too harsh and with bright crystal reflections from the sky (although dual AR helps here). Take LOTs of pics with different lighting, angles, settings, etc and study them critically on a big monitor, not the phone. A little post processing to adjust white balance, brightness, and crop/frame the image can make a nice difference too. Post regularly on WRUW with a challenge of having a better pic than the day before! YaY!
