Thanks for that. Indeed an outstanding piece. It is a “pin set” model which would lead me to think it is perhaps older than the serial number indicates. And it is 18-karat, no less! Looks to have had next to no use.
I submitted a request for an Extract of the Archives to Longines yesterday at 11:34 pm and they just answered now at 09:24 am (less than 12 hours, amazing !) with this :

Translated into English :
