Interesting. What's the story on this one? the entire dial has a cool ghostly appearance...me like.

Wish I knew. I bought it like that. I'm guessing moisture got in and left in a drawer, then dial cleaning gone wrong. The movement is surprisingly clean though. No pitting that I can see. And the "Zenith automatic", "Swiss Made T", and the minute markers all look like original and not reprint so I'm not sure about the dial scrubbing. Unless you can scrub the colour off the dial without scrubbing off the printing? But the tritium has all turned black suggesting moisture in the dial at some point. Dunno but I like it. It's got some kind of true history.

I've been waiting for this one for a while...but not as long as it's been waiting for me.... first sold in 2008, unworn and unsized until this morning... My first 8500 movement as well!

Is that as in, " 'ello love; show us your Titus"?

Plural I suspect is "Titi" 😁

I thought the plural of Titus was Titoni. 😁
