·Today I take out a lucky buy from earlier this year.
I was hunting for early all black Breitling Navitimers for a couple of years and fetched 3 including a 809 Scott Carpenter. So I was quite happy with my trophies. 😀
Then last year an ad came up on the German EBay KA with an 806 all black in gold plated case. I never wanted one before, but I got interested by the requested price of EUR 3 k.
Long story short, I bought it and when I received the watch it was a „wow“ effect. The watch turned out to be very original and with a great dial, which is a gilt dial by contrast to the normal 806 SS dial. I am very happy now about this watch although it was not intended to buy one.
