Sometimes a Speedmaster on my wrist coincides with Tuesday. 👍

What better day for my introductory post than a "Speedy Tuesday"!

I wanted to share with OF my newly acquired Omega Speedmaster 145.022-68. I was lucky enough to purchase this very nice example through another forum. Thanks to the help of the seller, I was able to find the previous owner here on OF that had owned this watch since the mid 70's. I joined, messaged him, and was able to get a detailed backstory on the previous life of the watch. It is in very honest condition, and from what I understand has never been polished and still wears the original dial and handset.

I have only been into watches the past couple years and I feel very lucky to have this one on the wrist and as part of my collection. I just fitted a leather strap to it and have been loving it. This is my first vintage watch that I have bought and it will not be my last!

Within the next couple weeks I am planning to go to an Omega Boutique to get an Extract of the Archives on it.

Never thought I'd say this but... Its Tuesday and I'm wearing a Speedmaster! Not to offend anyone but the white baton hands and twisted lugs just never did it for me and however many times I tried one on they just didn't 'speak to me'. Then one sleepless night I went down a rabbit hole of OF FOIS threads and that was that... What an awesome watch! Its going to be speedy everyday for a while now I reckon 😀
I love the way this watch wears... awesome speedy....

Wearing my linen Longines hummer today, the smooth seconds hand can be a bit distracting at work though haha
