Weather forecast spot on, p*****g down and has been for most of the night Starting with the Seiko Gen 2 but that may change if I end up twiddling my thumbs
Pulled this out because of another thread and decided it needs to be worn. On the right. I'm just noticing the bezel that's been on for decades. Does anyone know the absolute correct alignment of that telemeter bezel? I looked at photos just now and saw 5 or 6 different positions on different watches.
This week would have been my Dad's birthday, so am happy to wear his cal 501 Seamaster. I've shown a crop of this pic before but this is the whole thing. It's one of those "pay for the picture we took of you" from a vacation to Mexico my parents and older brother did in February 1964. Hand written mo/yr at lower right. I believe they did this as a driving trip. 3100 miles (5000 km) from Montreal, Canada to Acapulco, Mexico...6200 round trip. I have to confirm with my Mom what car they did that in, but I've heard stories of the brakes being taken to a cherry red glow while crossing the mountains of Mexico! (I wasn't born yet.) Good work Dad.
