My poor little neglected ‘dots-of-custard’ radium-dialed Wrist Alarm is finally getting some highly deserved wrist-time again:
Aha! That is where I was born! Interesting story. The British Army was stationed on the Halifax side of the harbour, and there were indigenous tribes camped on the Dartmouth side. A British soldier got too close to a native girl, and she ended up in the family way. The indigenous chief or or witch doctor put a curse on the bridge across the harbour which was to include each and every bridge that followed it. Several bridges failed over the decades.
