My brother's 50th birthday gift, a March 1969 6105-8009 diver (less common resist/resist version), just returned from restoration by Adrian Sellick in Australia, who not only serviced the movement, but restored the water-resistance of the watch by replacing all seals, including repacking the crown. Really nice, original, and unpolished condition with the exception of some mold on the hands. I will ship it out tomorrow, so just enjoying it a bit tonight. Frankly, it's a little hard to let it go, maybe I'll have to find another one for myself. My brother is not a watch-guy, but I am hoping he may come to appreciate watches someday. So this was my compromise. It's a watch a collector can appreciate, but also pretty robust, especially after the restoration. The second photo is with my 62mas.
Reluctantly obliged to retire this month (age not health) and leisurely starts to the day are something I’m still struggling to come to terms with. Still, I’ll give it a go.....
