My brother's 50th birthday gift, a March 1969 6105-8009 diver (less common resist/resist version), just returned from restoration by Adrian Sellick in Australia, who not only serviced the movement, but restored the water-resistance of the watch by replacing all seals, including repacking the crown. Really nice, original, and unpolished condition with the exception of some mold on the hands. I will ship it out tomorrow, so just enjoying it a bit tonight. Frankly, it's a little hard to let it go, maybe I'll have to find another one for myself. 😁

My brother is not a watch-guy, but I am hoping he may come to appreciate watches someday. So this was my compromise. It's a watch a collector can appreciate, but also pretty robust, especially after the restoration. The second photo is with my 62mas.

Very cool birthday gift, I'm sure he will love it 👍

I'm developing a great appreciation for vintage Seiko divers.

Thanks, I hope he likes it. Judging by price trends, you aren't the only one noticing vintage Seiko divers. Hopefully my brother won't figure that out, since I think it will discourage him from wearing it.

Nothing...I don't wear to work. As a maintenance tech there's a great risk of damage/😀
