It’s still Speedy Tuesday...and now with a side of Flieger Tuesday. Ran errands with our oldest kid unit (Hannah) and she was wearing her AWCI built flieger (below right)...so I had to deploy my AWCI built flieger (below left)...
If I'm being honest I'm not really wearing it today. Not sure if it has ever been worn! It's safety deposit brother was an equally stellar 18K Omega Olympic but years ago when it was offered a week later I was too cash poor to buy it.
I am mesmerized by this watch. While I’d love to own it, there’d be no point. Cause every time I went to look at the time, I’d look into its face, be blown away all over again and forget why I looked at it, turn away and realize I still didn’t know the time. I am a sucker for rose gold.
Obsessive? Well maybe, in the eyes of some. But I am not uploading pictures of the two Omega bumper automatics I have on the other wrist. On the left, an Accutron Railroader from circa 1964, and on the right, an Accutron 218 from circa 1967. Both watches have year of production on the case backs, but since these both were put together out of bits and pieces, age on these is estimated.
A Tuesday of the Speediest kind. Carried one aged parent to an appointment for a CT scan this morning, the other on a quick road trip to an ophthalmologist appointment this afternoon. Given an average speed of 75 miles per hour, how long does it take to return from central Abilene, Texas to the nursing home? It takes this long in "Speedy time."
