ca.1970 Longines Skin Diver Ref.8248-1, cal. 505. A cousin to the Ultra-Chron, they share some beautiful design elements including stunning bakelite bezels & orange / red minute hands.

Is that the one you put together?
Correct...at the 3 day AWCI Build-A-Watch course...

...AND for the record, Danni [from the local skatepark] put together her skateboard deck [pictured on the left below] by ordering a Playgirl magazine via Amazon...she cut out various pictures and ads from the magazine and clear grip taped them to her skateboard deck...pic below is from today at the local skatepark...my G&S Proline Side Cut reissue is pictured on the right below as well as my “built by Mad Dog at AWCI with boat loads of supervision” ETA 6497-1 phlieger...

Grabbed this from the watch box a few days ago. I'd almost forgotten just what a nice watch it is. I know Seiko gets all the kudos in the value for money stakes, but imho, Orient isn't far behind. For those interested, the purchasing saga is here 😁

Today something more modern. Definitely feels like a tool watch after wearing vintage pieces 👍
