Thanks Jones! I love it my Planet Ocean. It does have a bit of patina, one might say.

My current humble watch collection includes my now-vintage Hamilton from junior high school (early 70’s), a nice new (this past Christmas) Hamilton Field Mechanical, a couple old Heuers from the ‘80’s, a drawer full of old but kinda cool Victorinox Swiss Army watches, and a few other funky Bulova Accutrons and Seikos. I bought a new Rolex Submariner way back in the mid-eighties but sold it (long story...). I am now completely infatuated with Speedmasters. Researching Speedies lead me to this fine forum! So much knowledge here - it’s really amazing...

I couldn’t agree more....

Look closer 😁

I give up! What’d I miss? The three letter word SUB refers to what, exactly?

I was making fun. The minute hand overlaps the GMT hand, hence the SUBmariner look.

I was going for this Omega NATO look

without spending over $200, so I bought this $12 from Borealis. Nice strap but maybe the grey is a bit too dark compared to the Omega.

Continuing on a theme ...

Wore the watch but didn't participate in Speedy Tuesday photographic festivities so we're having Speedy Wednesday.

Now for something completely different. 🙄

Grandfather’s Waltham that he wore to war in 1917, along with an early twenties Omega I picked up on eBay last year.

Maybe I will actually wear both of them today - they are so light and small.

Who needs some fancy GMT? I got it covered. 😀

Quick update: I picked one to wear today. I do have a special place in my heart for vintage enamel dialed wrist watches.
Amazing how similar they look. Great pieces, thanks for sharing!

Vague, to say the least!

Shaft of light helped me discover a problem. 🙁

There’s a thread of lint on the inside face of the crystal! 😲

(I examined it with a 40 power lense - it’s not caught in the AML 😗 It’s clinging to the inside face of the crystal.).

Supposedly, this watch did not need service right away. Silly me. :whipped:
